FEMech Engineering provides specialized engineering and inspection services to the Corrosion Resistant (CR) Composites Industry and the companies who utilize composite equipment in their processes. Owner Alfred (Al) Newberry, PE is a Licensed Professional Engineer; who specializes in the design of CR composite vessels, large diameter tanks, pipe, duct and FRP chimney liners; as well as large diameter fiberglass (FRP) filament winding equipment. Areas of expertise include Linear and Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis, both of which take advantage of the latest computer technology. Al Newberry sat on the ASME Section X Committe for more than 10 years and has been on the ASME RTP-1 Design and Fabrication Subcommitte since 1992. Since it was founded, FEMech has had a great deal experience in the design, fabrication and inspection requirements of ASME RTP-1, Section X of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASTM, AWWA and other codes and standards for Corrosion Resistant FRP equipment. Understanding the importance of quality beyond the design, we have expanded our services to include vender qualification and all phases of CR composite equipment inspection. Individual inspectors or a quality surveillance team can be dispatched to shop or field locations, both in the USA and internationally. In addition to inspection, FEMech Engineering offers a full range of laminate testing by certified laboratories. FEMech can provide PE certified interpretations and reports for the lab test results.
